Okay, so now that Steph and Dip have bragged about their awesome vacations, it is my turn to brag about what I did . . .
Attention, Ladies and Gentlemen, Boys and Girls, Kaitlyn Hannan, amazing almost thirteen year old girl, built a ROCKET SHIP! Yes folks this is true: a real, actual, full size, rocket with thrusters and passengers . . .
Okay, I’m getting ahead of myself; it was about two ft high and had no passengers, but went at least 600 feet in the air, so high that on one launch, I lost track of it until it started floating to the ground with it’s built in parachute. Yes, my father and I built it in one day! It also had two shuttle gliders attached to the sides, so when the rocket reached it’s highest point, they would fall off and glide to the ground. there was no remote control for any of it, so we launched it on a soccer field.
The rocket wasn’t the only highlight ofย my Independence Day, though. My dad always sets off a firework show for our neighbors, but this year, he let me set off a bunch!
I will try to figure out how to put in some pictures in my next post.
Farewell for now lemonade lovers,
Kaitlyn
